Santhie is a freelance writer and editor based in London, UK, and has written on tax and accountancy issues for publications including The Independent, Accountancy, Tax Notes (US), Accounting & Business, BusinessLife.co, PC Advisor, Taxation, and Financial Director among other publications.
Santhie worked as deputy editor for Tax Adviser magazine and was on the editorial team for Tax Journal. She was published as a book contributor to ICSA’s Foundation Programme study text, and wrote and reviewed the associated exam papers. She has also appeared on TV: on a TRT World Roundtable panel show on global tax avoidance by digital companies.
After a brief stint as a film extra, Santhie spent her post-university gap year working as a TEFL teacher in China. Upon returning to the UK she qualified as a chartered accountant while working in the tax profession, before changing career to journalism in 2009. She loves travel, karaoke, good food, good books, outer space, the odd videogame and a good cup of tea.
